It is very easy for children to navigate on their own.  It includes a picture slideshow, a fact card slideshow, a video, a chimpanzee e-card for students to share with friends and family and a printout with all the information on it as well as a collectors card kids can cut out and put together.

This is a great website but may seem a little daunting.  However, by navigating the menu on the left hand side of screen students can find detailed information about physical characteristics, behavior, intelligence, similarities to people, Gombe National Park and chimpanzee conservation.  More advanced students in your class may be able to utilize this site better than less advanced students. There are also many links to further information sources within the Jane Goodall site.  Suggestion: Click on JGI’s Chimpanzoo and then on Chimpanzee learning cards for specific chimp facts.
