For teachers, the Rainforest Alliance provides curriculum ideas for grades kindergarten through eighth grade, including lesson plans, slide shows, pictures, and stories.  For students, this site includes projects, stories, and coloring pages.  All can benefit from the basic information on the rainforest and photographs.  This site discusses conservation and gives simple ideas on how one can help protect the rainforest.  Information is well organized, making this site visually appealing and easy to use.

National Geographic is useful for rainforest visuals.  A quick search of "rainforests" brings up four photo galleries: tropical rainforests, tropical rainforest wildlife, temperate rainforests, and deforestation.  Search results require some filtering, but the information, photographs, videos and maps are worth it.   The Virtual World: Rain Forest at Night is particularly enjoyable.

This website is made by a doctor and nutritionist who has traveled to the rainforest numerous times and enjoys creating websites.  He took all but a few of the photographs.  This website is good for basic information and to see what an average person's travels to the rainforest can entail.  It also includes a few activities, like creating a rainforest adventure story and puzzles.  The sound recordings of the rainforests provide a good sensory experience for students.
