How can I set goals and stick to them?  The Dole 5 a day website gives students the opportunity to not

only discover information about food and nutrition but also set goals for themselves.  The idea is that students

will eat enough fruits, vegetables, meat, and grain products for a minimum of five days.  The website provides

a “family contract” for parents to get involved too!  Also, the Dole 5 a day website has an extensive reference

library on nutrition, fruits and vegetable servings as well as the chemical processes that go on in the body

throughout digestion.

What fun exercises can I do to stay fit?  This website provides children and parents with information all

about fitness and exercises for home, school, work, play and “on the way!”  In this way, learning about nutrition

and exercise is extended from the classroom to the home environment.  Sponsored by the Canadian Public Health

Agency, the website is a great tool for the whole family to use!
