Marco Polo: Man of Mystery

Introduction
Marco Polo was born in 1254. No one is quite sure where he was born and to this day it is still not known. He was supposed to have been born in one of three places: Korcula, Croatia; Venice, Italy; or Curzola, off the coast of Dalmatia. And so begins the life of our man of mystery.

This is my webpage on Marco Polo, on this sight I will take you through the life of Marco Polo, I will also show you some controversies that have arisen over Marco's journey.

Marco wrote a book about his life and travels. He wrote it in a Geonese prison when he was older. In this book he writes about his experiences with Kublai Kahn and Mongols in China. This being the only account of his journey everybody will have to trust him. These stories may not be true, he may have heard them from others and called them his. In this webpage I will show you different opinions about his life and travels. Then I will give you my analysis.
