OBJECTIVE: To improve basic mathematics skills and prepare for the state test.

GENERAL RULES:

1. Attendance. All students are expected to be in class, in their seats, with their name-plates, and ready to learn before the bell rings. Failure to do so will result in an after school detention for tardiness. Students will not be admitted to class tardy unless they have a slip from the attendance office.

2. No Cell Phones. If seen or heard, the item will be confiscated and given to building administrator. Any refusal will have more drastic consequences.

3. No Food, Drink, or Gum: They are messy and can damage the machines. Thus, they are strictly prohibited.

4. Materials: Bring a sharpened pencil, notebook, and calculator every day.

5. Missed Days: An unexcused absence will result in a zero for the day. For an excuse absence, the grade on the day of return will be given for all missed days.

6. Forest Grove Rules: All rules in the Forest Grove Student Handbook apply.

GRADING/COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

Grades. Grades shall be earned on a point basis and calculated as follows:

A 100% - 90%

B 89% - 80%

C 79% - 70%

D 69% - 60%

F 59% and below

Daily Work: Students will earn 10 points daily for the following.

1 point for being on time

1 point for bringing a sharpened pencil

2 points for showing scratch work

3 points for doing class problems in notebook

3 points for logging computer work in notebook

10 points Total Teacher reserves the right to change scale without notice.

Notebook Quizzes: Notebook quizzes worth 10 points will be given biweekly.
