“To laugh often and much. To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children. To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others. To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition. To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

    ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

I was raised by mother, Mary, my father Curtis, and my stepfather John. I have one sister, Emily, who is 24 years old. I grew up in the Milwaukie area. After high school I went to the University of Oregon. I received my Bachelor of Science Degrees in Public Relations and Communications. I loved attending the U of O and met some amazing friends, including my best friend and husband, CJ Cleveland. I was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and the ASUO (Student government). I graduated in 2004 and moved to Hillsboro, OR with CJ (who I married in August 2005). I worked as a mortgage loan officer for four years before deciding to get my Masters Degree in Teaching from Pacific University. I will graduate in May of 2009 and hope to have a job as an elementary school teacher. I am the President on the College of Education Student Council and the Vice President and member of Kappa Delta Pi.

My family and friends are very important to me. I enjoy spending time outdoors, working with children, Duck football games, cooking, spending time at the beach, reading, and perusing farmer’s markets and little shops!
