Introduction
Close your eyes. Now open them. You have just jumped into the future
and are working as an accomplished historian. Your current assignment
is to research and analyze Nazi Propaganda.
The
Task
You will research Nazi
Propaganda and censorship.
You will come to
understand the impact this Propaganda had on the Holocaust.
As a historian must, you
will record your thoughts and findings in a notebook.
The
Process
- First, you will begin
by defining the words propaganda
and censorship.
- Second, you will
research the use
of Nazi Propaganda.
- Third, you will
explore a theme
of your choice by clicking on photos.
- Next, you will examine actual
artifacts of Nazi Propaganda. In doing so you are invited to
explore a variety of formats, themes and years of propaganda.
- Here, watch a
video of Hitler speaking a piece of Nazi Propaganda to the German
people.
- Now, read about the
danger of propaganda under Monitoring
the Media.
- Lastly, be sure you
have recorded not only your findings, but your opinions, thoughts,
feelings and any additional questions you may have into your notebook.
