I was born in Portland, Oregon and have grown up around the area. I was blessed with a large extended family who all live close by, which has been great growing up. In 2003, I graduated from Westview High School and continued school with four years at the University of Oregon. I majored in Educational Studies and received two minors: Special Education and Business. I joined the sorority Chi Omega my freshman year and was elected Treasurer sophomore year. I met some of my closest friends in college, and I still can't believe how fast the four years flew by. After four amazing years at UofO, I graduated on June 16, 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Education.

A few days after graduating from UofO, I started the MAT fifth year program at Pacific University. It was a very busy summer full of classes. After a short break, fall term was underway filled with methods classes. As well as taking classes at Pacific University, I'm also student teaching at two different schools. One of my placements is in a kindergarten class in Portland. My other placement is in a third grade class in Hillsboro. It's been an amazing experience so far, and I'm loving every minute I spend in the classroom! I've made some amazing new friends in this program, and I know I couldn't get through this year without their humor, support and friendship. It feels as though graduate school just started, but I'm well on my way to earning my Masters Degree in the Art of Teaching.

In my spare time, I love watching and cheering on DUCK sports (especially football and basketball), reading, scrapbooking, bike riding, camping and taking road trips with friends. I also enjoy spending time with my parents, twin brother and dog, Lacey. I love the TV show Grey's Anatomy, the color green, snowboarding, and wakeboarding, and I would do anything for a bowl of Tillamook's Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream!
