"I
am a teacher. A teacher is someone who leads. There is no magic here. I
do not walk on water. I do not part the sea. I just love children."

| Hi! My name is Christine Pang. I spent the first 18 years of my life on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. It's a beautiful place to live, but I always felt like there was more out there for me than what the tiny island has to offer. So after graduating from high school, I packed my bags and came to Oregon for college. Corvallis, home of Oregon State University was were I would reside for the next four years of my adventure away from home. These were some of the most amazing years of my life, as I made lasting friendships, learned a lot about who I was as a person, and discovered my love of children and my passion for teaching. In 2007, I graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with an option in Early Childhood Development and Education, and a minor in Psychology. I was on my way to doing what I absolutely love, but my journey wouldn't end there. There was just one more thing that I had to do for myself, which brings me to today. I am currently enrolled in an intensive, one-year Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Pacific University. The Early Childhood/Elementary strand is a mere 20 students, and it's great to be in an environment with people who share the same goals and passions as I do, and who are there because they really want to be. |
