Hello my name is Daphne Pickett.  I am currently a student at Pacific University, in the Masters of Arts and Teaching program.  I am getting my masters in Early Childhood Education, and am hoping to someday teach first grade.  I am a recent graduate of Portland State University, with a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies and a minor in Elementary Education.  I am currently a student teacher at Reedville Elementary, in a first and third/fourth split class.  I am having a wonderful time at Reedville, and could not have asked for a better placement!

    I was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon.  I am an only child, and a huge family person.  My family is what gets me through my days, and is my number one support system.  I have been with my boyfriend, Tyler, for four years and he is my best friend and number one fan.  In my spare time you can find me in my kitchen cooking up a storm, or trying a new adventure.  I also enjoy going out to dinner with close friends, and getting lost in good conversation.  I just recently took up snowboarding and photography, and I love them both.  I also enjoy reading a good romance-comedy by a warm fire place, or out in the sunshine.  I am also a big Oregon State Beavers fan and love watching a good football game on a sunny Saturday, with a big bowl of homemade chili.
