The student is capable of understanding directions given on how to create this- and they are capable of building without much assistance.
Accomplished 3
Students will demonstrate their understanding of the different types of climates animals (and people) live in, and the location of different countries, by presenting their reasoning and research findings to the class.
The children will demonstrate a better understanding of how to conduct research by using their knowledge, and some guidance, of where to find information about our world.
Finally, the children will understand how to turn a social studies lesson into a carefully crafted piece of art by building a diorama of their research topic.

The student somwhat understands what is expected of them, but lacks pieces of information.
The student needs much assistance and is somewhat clear on where to look for information.
The student lacks clear knowledge of directions given and needs some assistance.
The student shows little to no understanding of expectations and completely lacks clear information and findings.
The student needs assistance at most times or they do not work. Clearly does not know where to find information
The student does not understand the directions and needs constant assistance in order to accomplish work.
**Please Note: Students will be graded mostly as a group, but some students will be graded on an individual basis as needed. This is because some groups will work together well while others will have some students who need extra assistance and others who do not. There will be some individuals who deserve their own grade, separate from the group. This will only take place through direct observation by the teacher, and will remain as un-biased as possible.
