Resources Needed

1. *  Books on animals chosen by the teacher
   

2. *  Library access
   

3. *  Internet access
   

4. *  Worksheets with specific questions written on them (with space to answer)
   

5. *  Shoebox’s (diorama)
   

6. *  Markers, colored paper, scissors, tape, yarn, paint, glue, and other materials necessary to construct a diorama
   

Extra Help Needed (People):

This lesson will require one teacher and at least two parent volunteers.  The parent volunteers (or aides) could assist the students during both their research and creative arts part of the project.  The parent volunteers will help students in their search for information, assist them if they have questions, and help with management.  They will also be able to help during the art phase if the students need a little guidance.
