About Me

I was born in Albequerque, New Mexico to the parents of Mette and Eric Singer. When I was five my sister, parents, and I took a year off to travel to different countries and a year to live in Israel on a kibbutz. Then when I was seven we moved to Portland, Oregon. I grew up attendeding private school in my primary years and then the Beaverton public schools in my later elementary years till high school.

After high school I went on a eductaional volunteer and teaching program in Israel where I experienced different cultures,ways of living, and teaching in a low socio-economic public schools. I attended University of Oregon from 2004-2006 and graduated with honors in Elementary Education with a minor in Judaic Studies.

After graduation I got a job as an educational tour guide in Israel for American teens. This is an intense 3 months of lesson planning at night, hiking and touring during the day, and no days off or breaks, but the best three months for any teen.

Now I attend Pacific University, in Forrest Grove, Oregon and student teach at Findly Elementary with 2nd and 4th grade. I will graduate in June 2008.
