Educational Philosophy
As a teacher, I feel that I have been given an opportunity to help children become learners, not only in school but in life as
well. All children have the ability to learn, by finding the
pathway in which the must travel. This is the puzzle that we must solve.
As an educator, I want to help build that path by giving children the
opportunity to find their way. To do this I must create a
classroom environment that suites individual need, abilities, and
learning styles in a classroom that is safe and nurturing.
Being
a primary teacher, I feel I need to make sure that a
give the students the beginning block of their path. By promoting
language through oral reading, enriched text, and listening, I expose
children to the world of reading and writing. Through creative
lessons I
create many opportunities to explore their ideas through multiple
mediums, and reach the broad spectrum of learners in the classroom. By
giving the students the bricks to start their path,
I create life-long-learners with the excitement and drive to move
forward.
Like the quote: " give a man fish: you have fed him today. Teach a man
to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime."
By
teaching children to explore everything around them, you feed their
drive to learn; you create children who are lifelong
learners.
