  • My philosophy of education is to keep them always wanting to come back for more. I was born into a family of educators.
  • Egage the child and you will have a learner for life.

My students depend on me to provide the best possible teaching environment which allows them access to the curriculum while supporting their needs.  This is where parents have a real impact.  I count on them to help me develop a clear plan because they know their child best.  One of the most important parts of my job as an educator is to have the best possible relationships with the families of the children I serve.  Maintaining trusting relationships with families helps keep everyone on the same page while facilitating ongoing communication, which ultimately benefits the child.

Currently I am a Learning Support Special Education Teacher at Burnt Bridge Creek Elementary School.  I have the good fortune of having a very supportive team and principal (Jan Davey), not to mention the fine staff at Evergreen School District’s Special Services.

The unique interpersonal skills I have acquired as a direct result of working with these amazing students have enriched my life, adding great joy and happiness. .  I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work in such a rewarding profession.  Like a good entertainer, I want my children to leave my class wanting to come back for more.
