Little About Megan Riley

| I was accepted to the Masters of
Arts in Teaching (MAT) 5th Year Program in March of 2005. I
am currently working towards earning both my MS in Early
Childhood/Elementary Education and my professional teaching
liscense. I have learned a lot about education and myself throughout this year. I am very excited to begin my career as an elementary educator. I have also met some amazing people through the University and I am looking foreword to trading 'teacher' stories with them Fall 2006!! |
I am student teaching in a first
and third grade classroom at Findley Elementary School in Beaverton,
Oregon. I have been paired with 2 excellent mentor teachers,
Terri Buckley and Steve Simpson. I am learning a lot and
truly enjoying my time with the students and staff at Findley.
Beginning the last week of January, I will be full-time student
teaching in the first grade. I will be teaching a selection of
lessons provided by myself and my mentor teacher. This is

| I
attended the University of Oregon from 2000-2004. I earned a BA in
Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education.I truly enjoyed
my time spent at the U of O. I grew up in Albany, Or where
I attended Oak Grove Elementary, North Albany Middle School and West
Albany HS. |
Keith and I met in Eugene in
2003. In our free time we enjoy hiking, working out and being
with our friends. We also love sports. Keith is a
huge football fan (Go Bengals!) and I have always loved playing sports
including softball and soccer (indoor and outdoor). |
This past August we adopted little
Samari from the Oregon Humane Society. His birthday is April
30th, 2005. Samari loves playing and climbing and is a truly
