Kahoot
Kahoot is a great website for teachers as well as students to create quizzes. We use this website in my 6th grade placement. I was asked to create a fun Kahoot using our reading vocabulary words. I explored the different options of how to ask the questions. I created questions that used video and pictures. The students loved it and seemed more engaged than a regular quiz that just has words. Students can access the quiz using a code that pops up when you begin the quiz. I displayed the Kahoot on the SMARTBoard and the students would respond using their Chromebooks. After each question, there is the immediate score of the class. Students compete using the scores that pop up when they answer the question correctly. The quicker they answer the question, the more points they earn. Concluding the quiz, students can evaluate how well they liked the quiz. The downfall to this is that the teacher cannot see which student got the answer incorrect unless you see their personal screen. Students also get excited when they create their own quiz that they share with the class.
