Expeditionary
Learning Promotes: a
student centered, active discovery, project based inqury on
cultures, community building, and biology species and environment.
Within expeditionary learning, students learn to create elevated
expectations for themselves, show high respect for peers and the value
of the curriculum's purpose. Students demonstrate their responsibility,
team building and group work skills, creativity, problem solving
abilities, and
scrupulous excellence for quality of projects completed. Students are
encouraged to make predictions, observe, experiment, and reflect on
their experiences within their learning environment. Within
expeditionary learning, students learn to become leaders and challenge
themselves as explorers within their new learning evironment units.
