Introduction
This webquest is designed as an introduction to the 50 states of America.

The Task
We will be creating flashcards to help us learn basic facts about the United States such as: The state capital, the state population, when the state became a state, sketch the state flag, state nickname, and a sketch of the state.

The Process
You will be assigned 1 or 2 states (maybe more depending on your class size). For each state research the and record:
                    1. the state capital
                    2. the state population
                    3. when the state became a state
                    4. the state nickname
                    5. sketch the state flag
                    6. sketch of the state.
On the other side of the paper wright the name of the state you are researching in big letters. Remember to use your BEST handwriting so that others can read your facts. On some of the links you may need to scroll down and read carefully to find the information that you are looking for.

If your class is doing a state project, you may want to look at the flash cards and write down states you would like to do your project on.
