Animals of the World

Today we will be learning about geography through the use of animals.  Animals, just like humans, live throughout the entire world and they make certain habitats their home for specific reasons.  What we will accomplish today is figuring out why animals live where they do through the use of research.  You will all act as researchers trying to figure out the answer to a specific question, “where does my animal live? Why?  What can I learn about this animal and its habitat?”.

After we break into partners it is up to you to figure out the answers to these questions.  After you have done this you will have the opportunity to tell the whole class what you, as a young researcher, have found!  Oh, and after you are all done, you will get to make a diorama (3D box) which will depict the environment your animal lives in.

Good luck and have fun!
